Education ProgramsEffectiveness in Catholic Education is a full-day, invitation-only, program to be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010. This program will focus on ensuring and measuring effective Catholic school education, communication and marketing, faith formation, and affordability and sustainability. Pastors, principals and other key leaders in Catholic education in specific areas of Cincinnati will be invited by SC Ministry Foundation. Leadership in Turbulent Times: What Your Board Can Do Now is a half-day, invitation-only program intended for Sisters of Charity sponsored ministries board members and executive leadership. It will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 from 8 - 11:30 am. Susan Meier, vice president of consulting and training and senior governance consultant for BoardSource, will be delivering a presentation on what steps nonprofit boards can take to effectively face and field the financial crisis presented in our country today. Governance as Leadership and Emerging Trends is a half-day, invitation-only program intended for the executive leadership and board members of local grantee organizations and sponsored ministries. It will be held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 from 8 - 11:30 am. Susan Meier, vice president of consulting and training and senior governance consultant for BoardSource, will be delivering a presentation on what best trends to follow for effective leadership and gaining all one can from the functioning of their board. Women, Poverty, & Public Policy is an invitation-only morning program intended for Greater Cincinnati nonprofit organizations working with women and children, SC Ministry Foundation board/committee members, and selected local funders and partners. It will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 8:30-10:30 am. A panel of four presenters will give local, state, and national perspectives on poverty affecting women, as well as important legislation that is currently in Congress. After the presentations, an open discussion and dialogue will take place.
