Understanding Our Grant Process

Phone call during designated phone call periods
SC Ministry Foundation only accepts grant inquiries by phone call during designated phone call periods. SC Ministry Foundation does not respond to grant inquiries by email or outside designated phone call periods.

Pre-approval to submit pre-application
All pre-applications must be pre-approved by a program officer through a phone call during the designated time periods. SC Ministry Foundation does not consider any pre-applications submitted without pre-approval from a program officer during the phone call.

Must meet our funding priorities and eligibility and limitation requirements
SC Ministry Foundation only considers funding inquiries by phone from organizations and for projects that meet our funding priorities and funding eligibility and limitation requirements. SC Ministry Foundation considers requests for existing core programs, new or expanding programs with business plans that indicate sustainability, organizational capacity building, and planning grants for pilot programs.

We are only able to discuss grant requests if you have:

• read our website;
• checked your organization’s and your specific request’s alignment with SC Ministry Foundation’s funding priorities and eligibility and limitation requirements before calling; and
• called during the time periods designated for calls and are prepared to answer the phone call questions.
