Eligibility Requirements

Organizations must meet our funding priorities and the following criteria in order to be considered for funding. Please see our limitations for further considerations. 

• Funding requests will only be considered if the Foundation receives the organization’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) determination letter verifying that the organization is exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.

• The mission, programs and services of the organization requesting funds must be consistent with the mission and purpose of the SC Ministry Foundation.

• An organization that has an active grant with the Foundation is not usually eligible to apply for another grant until the conclusion of the current grant.

• Evidence of collaboration, particularly through place matters in Price Hill, multiple funding sources, non-duplication of services and financial sustainability are funding considerations.
  

• Core program grants are with evidence of measurable outcomes.

• New programs or program expansions that requires adding staff, expanding hours of current staff, or results in increasing program expenses by $5,000 or more, must demonstrate sustainability through a business plan to be considered.
