Program Description As the nonprofit sector continues to feel the impact of our turbulent economy, it is critical that organizations be able to look to their boards for leadership and stability. As nonprofits search for additional resources, many fail to see that their board of directors is possibly their greatest under-utilized resource. In order to help ensure that their organizations remain viable, boards need to be mission-driven, strategic, and forward thinking as they guide their organizations through transitions and sometimes even crisis. Effective boards embrace their fundamental roles and responsibilities, are aware of changes in their environment, and welcome new ideas and different perspectives. This dynamic session addresses the critical activities that your board can undertake now as your organization faces the financial crisis.
